Jamal-Dominique Hopkins (Ph.D., University of Manchester;  M.A., Fuller Theological Seminary, B.A., Howard University )Dr. Hopkins is Dean of Dickerson-Green Theological Seminary and regularly teaches in the area of biblical languages and literature. He teaches Old and New Testament Studies, Biblical Hebrew and Greek, and Early Judaism. His scholarly research and publications are in the area of the Dead Sea Scrolls and Qumran Literature, Biblical Hermeneutics and African American Christian Thought. He is the only known person of African Descent to hold a doctorate in the Dead Sea Scrolls. Dr. Hopkins also is a Pedagogy Fellow at Yale University's Center for Faith and Culture, where he is part of the Christ and Being Human Project. Having worked in ministry in the Church of God in Christ, he currently is an ordained minister in the African Methodist Episcopal Church.
